NORTHERN LIGHTS | oil on canvas

OMG I hate using cheap brushes! I have learned to paint with one hand on my brush and the other holding the tweezer...constantly on the lookout for bristles discarded from those bad boy brushes. This problem occurred while painting Northern Lights, a 24 x 48 oil painting depicting, what I imagine, would look like the Aurora Borealis. Northern Lights was my first foray into the world of blending different oil paint colors so the end result is a big blur...well, a pretty blur in my opinion! As an artist, I continue to grow and encourage you, too, to jump into trying something new.
